South western Utah Experience

I am looking at a property in St George Ut.   We live out of state but plan on settling there for retirement.  We will need to use a management company until we can be close enough to do it ourselves. Any encouragement would be appreciated!

I have family in St. George so my wife and I are also looking into getting a property there we can use as a short term rental when we're not using it. So we're right there with you!

Go for it, been through St. George a few times myself and love it there. I did notice that people set their nightly rates extremely low and then charge an exorbitant cleaning fee for the stay. Probably has something to do with ToT taxes etc.

you don't need a management company. Just a good cleaner and handyman.

Hi Collette,

I own a brokerage in Utah where we specialize in Vacation Rentals.  I also personally own a vacation rental in St George at the Ledges.  I'd love to help answer any questions you may have.  Something to keep in mind as you begin your search, Washington County is getting very strict on allowing nightly rentals in areas that are not zoned for it.  I think that is a good thing and will help keep the 'not-so-profesional' people out.

I'm happy to refer some good full service management companies if you'd like.

I am hosting a live webinar tomorrow on purchasing short term vacation rentals and I will be using St George as an example when analyzing an area.  If you are interested, you can register at www.LifestyleAssetUniversity.com
